The Sims 2 & The Sims 3: Use the M key to move an object on a surface between the slots on the surface if the object has more then one. It is especially useful on objects with many slots, where it can be hard to place your clutter where you want it.

The sims 3: Re-texture the edges of floors with CASt. The lighting is different on there so you will need to adjust the darkness if you want it to match the surrounding textures

Tibertus’ Tech Tip#44

 

Sims 3: You can re-texture the edges of stages by painting them with the wall tool. It is super handy if you are using the stage together with foundation – make them the same colour and it just looks great!

Sims 3: You can get objects to move off grid by holding down the alt-key, while placing the object. If you want to rotate the object. Place the object, grab it and rotate the object while holding down alt. Make sure to let go of the object before you let go of the alt-key
